Pesto Turkey Burgers
No doubt we all love a good juicy burger from time to time. Here we propose an alterntive version using Turkey mince which you can find from our butcher counters. Give it a try and get in touch with us about the outcome.

500g Turkey Breast Mince
2 tbsp Basil Pesto
4 salad onions, thinly sliced
Italian Style Ciabatta Rolls
2 large tomatoes, thickly sliced
Preheat the oven to 200ºC, gas mark 6. In a large bowl, mix together the mince, pesto and salad onions. Using damp hands, shape into 4 even-sized burgers.
Cook the burgers in a large, non-stick frying pan for 5 –8 minutes on each side until nicely browned and completely cooked through with no pink meat.
Meanwhile, heat the ciabatta rolls for 8 –10 minutes according to packet instructions.
Split the rolls and place a few slices of tomato on the base of each. Top with the burgers, drizzle with a little extra pesto if you wish, replace the top of the roll and serve.
