MEUSAC visiting Arkadia Commercial Centre

On May 9, Europe Day, the European Commission launched the broadest public consultation ever, asking citizens to set the future agenda for the next years and shape the future of the European Union. The consultation is open until 9 September, during which time the public are being asked about the obstacles they face in exercising their rights as EU citizens, be it when shopping online, when enjoying the natural environment or when travelling in Europe.

The public consultation comes ahead of the 2013 European Year of Citizens. The input received from the public will feed directly into the Commission’s policy agenda and form the basis for the 2013 EU Citizenship Report, to be presented on May 9, 2013.

EU citizens can have their say by filling a short online questionnaire. In order to inform the public of this initiative and to assist in the filling in of the questionnaire, MEUSAC will be organising various events around Malta and Gozo where people can gain more information about the consultation and also fill in the questionnaire online.

The next MEUSAC event will be held at Arkadia Commercial Centre on Friday 17th August. The public is encouraged to visit and found out more about the campaign. Moreover those taking part in the consultation event will also have the chance to win an iPad 3.
