General Maintenance Operative

Basis: Full-time
Location: Malta
Brands: Arkadia Commercial Centre

We are currently recruiting for full-time General Maintenance Operative to assist our Arkadia Maintenance Team in Malta

The person chosen for this role will report directly to the Group Maintenance Manager

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Painting walls
  • Repairing or re-building walls
  • Tiling
  • Undertaking small plumbing repairs and minor electrical tasks
  • Performing checks on security and fire appliances
  • Minor masonry work such as external walls or steps, laying slabs, and replacing glass
  • Inspect all community spaces daily to identify problems with litter, mechanical failure or breakdowns
  • Respond to tenants’ requests for maintenance services, including replacing air filters, installing new locks and troubleshooting smoke detectors
  • Repair plumbing, electrical and safety systems as required
  • Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Profile

The ideal candidate should:

  • Have experience in plumbing, electricity, and overall general maintenance
  • Be fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Be fully conversant with Microsoft Office

Maintenance Technicians

Basis: Full-time
Location: Malta & Gozo
Brands: Arkadia Commercial Centre

We are currently recruiting for full-time Maintenance Technicians to assist our Arkadia Maintenance Team in Malta and our Maintenance Team in Gozo.

The person chosen for this role will report directly to the Group Maintenance Manager.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Respond and attend promptly to repair requests.
  • Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems.
  • Check for new maintenance requests.
  • Interpret readings from meters and gauges and other measuring units.
  • Perform maintenance activities on various types of hardware & electrical equipment
  • Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment.
  • Operate as an independent mechanic by analysing problems, identifying courses of action, and implementing solutions with available resources and to a high degree of quality.
  • Monitoring the fire alarm / life safety system systems as necessary, and to handle emergencies involving the systems.
  • Maintaining the facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner

Profile

The ideal candidate should:

  • Have basic knowledge on air conditioners & HVAC
  • Hold Electrical License A
  • Be fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Be fully conversant with Microsoft Office

We are looking for a full-time Loss Prevention Officer for the Arkadia Foodstores.

The person chosen for this role will be reporting to the Assistant Store Manager and the Foodstore Stores Manager.

 

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be required to monitor the security screens and make continuous and regular inspection checks in and around the whole building.  S/he will also be liaising with Police in case of accidents, thefts etc. and shall also act as a custodian in all cash-handling operations.

 

Profile

The ideal candidate should:

  • hold a valid security license
  • be proactive and innovative
    • have excellent customer service skills
    • have good verbal and written communication skills in both Maltese and English
