We are currently recruiting for a Full-time Stacker to support our Foodstore operations. The work schedule is flexible from Monday to Sunday with shifts ranging from morning, afternoon or evening times. The person chosen for this role will report to the Duty Manager and the Stores Manager.

Responsibilities include:

We are looking to recruit a part-time cleaner for our Food Market in Valletta. The ideal candidate would carry out high-standard cleaning services to keep the food market in tip-top shape.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that the store floor, bathrooms and offices are always clean.
  • Cleaning elevators lift landings and escalators.
  • Cleaning glass surfaces, store shelving and furniture.
  • Assisting the Property and Maintenance Manager in executing any additional duties required.

The ideal candidate should:

  • Speak fluently in English.
  • Always maintain a high standard of appearance and hygiene.
  • Be able to manage the time allocated to work effectively.

We are currently seeking to recruit a Full-time Storekeeper for our Foodstore in Portomaso. The selected candidate would be responsible for the receiving and storing of stock and the overall organisation of the store. The Storekeeper would report to the Foodstore Duty Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • To receive incoming stock, performing adequate checking of both quality and quantity of items received.
  • To plan adequate storage of incoming stock in order to maximize the use of space and to ensure we are not overstocked.
  • To ensure the proper handling and usage of stock while in storage and while being introduced in the supermarket.
  • To assist as necessary in the stacking of stock in the supermarket.

The Ideal candidate would have:

  • Good oral and written skills in English.
  • Fluent in Maltese. Any other language is considered an asset
  • Able to use the computer and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations
  • Organisational skills
  • A valid Food Handling license is considered an asset although training may be arranged

Night Security

Basis: Full-time
Location: Arkadia, Gozo

Description:

We are currently seeking to recruit a Full-time Night Security to ensure that all Company premises at Arkadia Gozo are always secured. Shift schedules are tentative to start at 20:00 and end at 07:00. The selected candidate would report to the Head of Security.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that the premises are securely locked for the night shift and opening at the end of the shift.
  • Performing regular inspections and reporting any irregularities or safety hazards during both night and day shifts.
  • Monitoring security screens.
  • Answering the Security telephone.

The ideal candidate would:

Duty Manager

Basis: Full-time
Location: Portomaso.St.Julians
Brands: Arkadia Foodstore

We are looking to recruit a Foodstore Floor Duty Manager to join our growing Foodstores Team in St. Julians.  The selected candidate shall be responsible to oversee all foodstore operations and provide necessary training to new recruits.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and empower the team to maintain cleanliness in the store and to excel in customer service.
  • Observe and recommend ways in which revenue streams and customer expectations may be met and maximised.
  • Train and oversee that all shelves are adequately stocked, and promotions are often communicated to customers.
  • Monitor absences and lead absence management meetings as and when required.
  • Exercise customary management discipline including the discipline of staff in accordance with the company rules and regulations (cleanliness, appearance, customer service, etc).
  • Assign work schedules and duties.
  • Ensure the quality and quantity of items received are as per requirements.
  • Actively support and enforce equipment safety usage, health, sanitation and security regulations and programs.
  • Check the store’s inventory management system for all areas and keenly adopt category management techniques and FIFO principles.

Profile:

The ideal candidate would:

  • Have strong team leadership skills and have experience coaching others.
  • Have experience within the Wholesale and Retail Industry.
  • Hold a valid Food Handling License.
  • Have an ECDL Certificate or proficiency in MS Office.
  • Be a strong communicator in Malta’s national languages; English and Maltese.

 

Remarks:

  • Training for this role will be given in St. Julian’s.
  • Previous experience within a similar role will be considered an asset.
  • Following successful completion of 6 months’ probation, the employee shall benefit from Health Insurance.

Driver

Basis: Full-time
Location: Portomaso.St.Julians

We are seeking to recruit a Full-time Driver whom we can rely on to deliver goods to customers in a timely and efficient manner. The selected candidate shall not only be responsible for the goods to be delivered, but also for the general up-keeping of the company delivery van. Drivers report to the Foodstore Duty Manager.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Loading and unloading merchandise to be delivered to and from delivery destinations
  • General maintenance of the vehicle and reporting any problems to the Supervisor
  • Reporting any damages or discrepancies in the goods delivered to the Foodstore Manager
  • Maintain the loading bay and the trolleys’ cleanliness
  • Greeting customers, processing payments and assisting them with their needs and requirements

The ideal candidate would:

  • Hold a valid driving license B
  • Be able to speak, read and write fluently in English
  • Be computer literate
  • Be conscious of health and safety regulations relating to the workplace and Maltese roads
  • Have a good understanding of Maltese roads and locations
